I just was informed of the following program from a fellow librarian. Since this is being held next Saturday, I thought I would pass it along asap for those who would like to go.
Irish genealogy: The Abington Public Library will host a free lecture on the history and difficulties of tracing Irish heritage at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27. The presentation will highlight unique challenges of Irish ancestral research, explore unique resources, and give examples of famous Irish-Americans’ heritage to give attendees a guide to tracing their own Irish origins. For more information, call 781-982-2139 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
